Fountain update

Day 248: starting to get jungle rot on my left foot and i think the big crystal in my left pocket may have cut my leg i’m not sure. I’m not sure how much longer i can hang in here.

Fountain

I sit in a fountain… One day i plan on leaving the fountain but until that day In this Fountain I will Reside but on the bright side i have a shiny crystal that sits in the fountain with me. i wonder what the weathers been like in the fountain lately?

Visigoth Temple Ruins

Im really very excited because i just made my very first Dungeon! A 3 level Temple Ruin with 11 rooms! The whole thing is original, no copying or stealing ideas..

I even drew it out which was pretty much the coolest part. Its not just an overhead its from an odd angle so that the map sorta tilts. ..BadAss

Maybe ill get a good pic and put it up, but it needs to remain a secret for a little bit since the players cant know the map until they’ve passed through it.

Crystal Types

Black (Blk) = Dead, no more energy
Dimming (Dim) = Dying, (•x1) left
White (Wht) = Nuetral, no element, most common for trade
Red (Red) = Fire element
Blue (Blu) = Water element
Green (Grn) = Earth element
Orange (Orn) = Air element
Yellow (Yel) = Summon Element

Starting Characters

Each player begins with a Wht L Crystal, and 3 basic items. They all begin in a Greater City and can leave at any time.

What he’s reffering to is pretty much an inside joke among some of my players and i. Maleachs had just started this new game and after a few turns and some really ridiculous events i started hinting to him that he should go to the fountain (liqua if you know about it) and he took his character there only to have his turn interrupted or something along those lines. The joke though, is that he hasnt played a turn since then.. 8 months ago.. lol

So often when the other players are taking there turns and leveling up he’ll sorta interrupt and say something like “im still just sitting in that stupid fountain..”

Its also extra comical because he actually GOT IN the fountain which isnt necessary.

Liqua

  • Looks and acts like water
  • speeds up the crystallization process 100x its natural speed.
  • dipping 5 Shards in liqua will form a Half Lesser crystal
  • dipping 2 Half Lessers in liqua will form 1 Lesser crystal

Game Idea: Crystals

The crystals are the center point of the whole game.

The level of the crystal corresponds with the level of the creature it came from and can be used on objects up to its level.

Cities are the only ‘safe’ place in the world. They are protected by the energy of a Crystal Cluster. Which grow naturally over hundreds of years, and cannot be created by man.

Player Character (PC)

Game Master (GM)

Non-Player Character (NPC)

A character in the game that isnt controlled by any player. For all practical purposes they are just another thing IN the game. So their actions and looks fall under the jurisdiction of the GM.

Sometimes Metanotes cant read my handwriting. So if theres something you cant read or that doesnt fit, double click the box like you want to edit what im saying and then click out of it without changing anything, it will usually fix itself.

Paper Games

This term i learned from my GM when i started playing and no one else seems to know it.. this leads me to believe that he made it up. Thats cool though, that just makes it that much more special to me.

So a Paper Game is an RPG where i just use a notebook and a writing utensil, sometimes ill use dice. But the key is that my players dont need anything but themselves.

Its my Hobby

I make up Paper Games in my free time. I write down all my ideas, maybe draw a map, write down all the character info and i play a few turns.

I come up with storylines all the time, and sometimes the math in me comes up with something awesome. All of this seems to happen at the most inconvenient moments. like in the shower, on the toilet, waiting in line, when im running a meet, ect..
