i love being able to verge off in many directions from any given thought node.

i hope john gets around to putting the linking in there. i really hope he feels some sympathy for me and isn’t just angry from some unknown reason.

i love demoing this in public.

basically, the real time brainstormming should be pretty exciting to them

i brought a ton of schwag but not much product.

i doubt this will really be worth it past tomorrow. without all my stuff i feel like I’ll be lucky if anyone buys from me at all, i’ll be lucky if i make a profit at all after paying the booth and vendor fee.

i just figured out that i want to actually show the metanotes app off but now i’m pushing the battery to the red

not putting the URL on the cards – e.g. “www.metanotes.com/” above the blank space there is a huge flaw.

now it’s a lot harder to think about people really taking to the cards if they’re n00bs.

what would make for “advertising radness”?

it’d be an add that does all of the following:

• moves the unaware to awareness
  • it does so by attracting their attention
• moves the aware to being interested
  • some kind of a benefits statement that they relate to and haven’t thought of before
  • this could maybe be done through a testimonial
• it moves the interested into making a decision.
  • what does a “decision” mean?

the exciting radness of brainstorming

• the need to brainstorm more
• the radness of brainstorming together at a distance
• the benefits of brainstorming
• to order custom stickers from me
• to be interested in stickers in general and stickers from me in particular
• that my point of view is authentic
• that my point of view is worthy of thought or at least hilarity

why do people need whiteboards?

I figure that my salvation is being able to inspire others to brainstorm

i really feel like brainstorming in metanotes instead of worrying about sales.

i want to play brain tennis.

the product is so rad

• the brand is rad
• but no advertising radness.

a decision is an allocation of attention and resources that makes the next action steps clear.

so for instance, by deciding to take on Andrea and conquer my share of the market I have been taking everything in my life a lot more seriously. but that isn’t enough -

i need an

• awareness generator
• an interest cultivator
• a reason to decide to print stickers NOW
• talent

other than it looks so cool !!!

I personally think it will be easy to learn and use. this is because Apple’s entire corporate strategy falls apart if users

it isn’t just how you take notes… it’s how you go back.

basically they should be put in a format that encourages you to add more notes later.

it’s also impossible to make a structured sequential thought process happen on an email thread or a discussion list or even a phpbb. why? because everything is ADD, one item and then a next item and a previous item – a stack, not a web.
