Laying out metanotes pages feels like drawing a dungeon.

i used to be a dungeonmaster back in the late ‘70s.

the kids would all gather in pradeep’s garage and i’d be DM. we sometimes played during recess at school. i’d draw dungeons and populate them with orcs and gelatinous cubes.

after a while the characters got too burly to be any more fun (i remember module s3, in which a flying saucer crashes and so suddenly your players emerge with like laser machine guns and lightsabers, rendering all future campaigns boring slaughterfest)(oh and don’t forget the “i wish for a million wishes” wish on the wish ring)

anyhoo.

Then we switched to football, atari and the ibm pc.

but this metanotes system feels like a dungeon layout program.

like i could imagine passages linking the various notes.

and i can imagine tiny characters moving between the notes.

and discovering the words in there, larger than life.

and having a choice – N, S, E, W.
