The Golden Mile Complex: This Complex is a combination of posh commercial and residential building located on Beach Road in Kallang, Singapore. The building was earlier known as Woh Hup Complex. It consists of about 411 shops and more than 500 parking spaces. The building is considered an ethnic enclave for the Thai population that lives in Singapore. It is about 16 storeys high and was built in the year 1973. The embassy of Republic of Korea is located on the eighth floor of this Complex.
There is also a state of the art shopping mall located within the Complex itself where a number of Thai Clubs, shops and eateries are located. However, I found a huge concentration of Thai shops in the mall. The upper floors of the Complex offer a panoramic view of the sky. All the apartments have balconies and there are pent houses on the top floor. The Complex has a lot of natural light and ventilation.
